Watermelon Limeade is a refreshingly sweet summer drink. You can keep it simple or fancy it up with a lime-infused simple syrup. Whatever you do, just make it.

Watermelon Limeade
Put that watermelon to good use with this refreshingly sweet summer-time drink. Keep it simple or use a flavor infused simple syrup to jazz it up.
Ingredients:
- 4 cups seedless watermelon cubed
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2-3 Tbsp simple syrup I used a lime-infused one I made from lime peels and sugar – see note below or honey
- 1/2 cup water sparkling or still
- Ice
Instructions:
- Add cubed watermelon to a blender and blend until smooth. Add in lime juice and sweetener and blend again until well mixed. Add in water and pour into a pitcher or jug.
- Serve over ice.
Notes:
If you’re wanting to make your own lime-infused simple syrup, take the leftover peels from juicing your lime and cut them up into quarters. Shove it into a small lidded jar and cover with granulated sugar. Shake it to distribute the sugar several times a day (I just do it whenever I see it) and let sit until the sugar has completely dissolved. I find with citrus peels it can take a few days to fully liquify. Once it’s done, you’ll have THE most delicious and flavorful simple syrup.
